Summary of qualifications:
• Installing access point • Running cables • Keystone with order of the type of the cable T568A, T568B • Punch down cables on the path panel • Cat5e/Cat6/Optical fiber cable installation inside/between cabinets (through cable tray). • Cat5e/Cat6 cable termination and testing. • Cable dressing and labeling. • Onsite prepare and inspect cabling materials including cat5e, cat6/cat6e, and fiber optic cable • Optical fiber cable testing • Pulling and routing CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable in commercial environments • Testing all cables prior to installation and cable pathways end to end before and after installation • Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks) • Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels) • Performing appropriate labeling of all installed equipment cable • Complete the assigned tasks safely and to CTS standards of quality and professionalism. • Cable/Fiber Technician will demonstrate the ability to run cat5/6/fiber optics through multi dwelling units and use hand and power tools safely and efficiently in both indoor and outdoor environments. • Cable pulling • Proficient with fiber connector prep and installation • Proficient with fiber test equipment. • Maintains proper network documentation on changes and upgrades. • Performs all other duties as assigned • Installation of Internet hubs and routers • Installations may require running or reusing CAT5 or CAT6
