- This has been my home for the past 15 years. I own it outright and love it dearly but, I think I would like to try living in the northwest. As you can see the front yard has been landscaped with Native tropical plants. The backyard has got a 35 ft wide 4 ft deep koi pond with a 6 ft waterfall. None of the backyard Landscaping has been finished as you can see but should be a blank canvas for you to do what you would like. Property taxes are approximately $1,000 a year. 5 years ago I converted two of the bedrooms into a small efficiency apartment for my mother when she moved in with me. It also has outside access to the side yard from the living area with a private deck and walkway. It could easily be turned back into two bedrooms if desired. Overall, the house is in good condition but needs some TLC. It has a flat roof that should be replaced soon. The original bathroom is original black and pink tile from the 1950s. The house was built in 1957. It is a block house so very sturdy and safe. I live on a dead end Street in a very quiet neighborhood all my neighbors are my best friends and we all enjoy our peace and quiet. So, ideally that is where I would prefer your property to be. However, if the deal is right I would be tempted to look nearby such as Fortuna or Rio dell. It really is Paradise down here and if you're sick and tired of the chili weather and cloudy days this will be a nice change of pace. As crazy as it sounds I'm starting to grow weary of the warm weather and the Sunshine.
